Synthetic Identities explores how identity is constructed, edited, and performed within a digitally mediated world.

In an era shaped by screens, avatars, filters, and algorithmic visibility, the self is no longer fixed or organic but continuously designed and optimized. Influenced by virtual idols and early internet aesthetics, identity becomes a surface for projection - replicated, stylized, and enhanced through hyperreal visual language.

Through high-saturation imagery, artificial textures, and hyperreal aesthetics, the project blurs the boundary between virtual and physical selves, reflecting a reality where authenticity is no longer natural, but constructed.

Glossy surfaces become theatrical selves, designed for circulation, projection, and repeated visibility.

Synthetic Identities explores how identity is continuously constructed, performed, and reproduced within hyper-mediated digital culture. In environments saturated by screens, cameras, avatars, and algorithmic visibility, the self no longer exists as something fixed or entirely authentic, but as an endlessly editable visual performance.

Influenced by early internet aesthetics, hyperpop culture, virtual idols, and commercial beauty systems, the project examines how femininity and selfhood become stylised surfaces designed for projection, circulation, and consumption. Through artificial colour palettes, glossy textures, repeated imagery, and technologically saturated spaces, identity becomes fragmented across multiple versions of the self.

The recurring screens and duplicated portraits function as symbols of mediated existence - where personality is reproduced through visibility and constantly reconstructed through digital representation. Rather than revealing authenticity, the project embraces artificiality as a contemporary condition of self-expression.

Synthetic Identities reflects a generation shaped by online aesthetics, algorithmic attention, and visual hyperreality, where identity is no longer discovered naturally, but continuously designed, edited, performed, and consumed.
