Q:
Why distort familiar objects and
environments?
A:
Because perception is never completely
objective.
Emotion and memory constantly reshape how
reality is experienced.

Echoes of Reality explores the space between what is objectively real and how reality is emotionally perceived.
Rather than depicting fantasy, the project focuses on familiar environments, objects, and everyday states that feel subtly altered - like fragments of reality recalled through dreams or subconscious reflection. Memory softens edges, shifts proportions, and distorts time, transforming the ordinary into something psychologically charged.
By introducing slight displacements, blurred boundaries, and atmospheric ambiguity, the project reveals how reality is not fixed, but continuously reconstructed through emotion, memory, and perception.
Reality is rarely experienced exactly as it exists. Memory softens edges, emotion alters proportions, and the subconscious quietly reconstructs familiar environments into something psychologically unfamiliar.
Echoes of Reality exists within this unstable space between perception and fact. Ordinary objects become exaggerated, reflective surfaces dissolve bodily clarity, and landscapes appear suspended between realism and dream logic. The world remains recognisable, yet subtly displaced.
Rather than escaping reality, the project transforms it through emotional distortion. Hyperreal textures and surreal scale shifts create environments that feel simultaneously artificial and intimate - spaces shaped less by physical truth than by internal perception.

A familiar object becomes too large to stay ordinary, turning the body into a witness inside its own softened memory.
